What a great song...

Such truth to these words..."I gave all my possessions to the poor, but I don't know the first thing about love". Thats one of my favorite lyrics in that song. If you don't do these "good" things with love then what is the motive and whats the point of doing them, we shouldn't have to feel obligated to do something unless we feel in our hearts that we want to do these things with love, kindness, and joy.

People don't care about what good you do for others unless you truly live and breathe it throughout your life. Caring and doing good for others should never be a notch on your belt...

There has been times when I've struggled with this idea. I mean, I know doing things that are good for others is the way to go. But if I don't feel motivated with love then what am I doing? It really is hard to always do things out of love, especially when it becomes a routine. Love is so natural and when you put an agenda on it, it becomes so processed like a hungry man TV dinner. I just see it a lot in culture today, processed love. I never see a continuous love that people share. It seems like it always comes in seasons but never year round. I don't know, I know I struggle with it...and that makes me imperfect...but God is Love and he is what perfection is, and his love always stays the same.
